This is a beautiful casting (metal body + metal base + rolling rubber tires + opening hood + wheel bearings) of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse but I don't think I'd recommend it. You can find a full video review on our YouTube channel but I'll summarize my thoughts here.
(PROS)
- Nice casting with sharp body lines and detailing
- Detailed acrylic headlights and taillights
- Quad exhaust with metal tips and muffler definition
- Interior gauge decal on wrap-around screen + Recaro printed on front seats
(CONS)
- Wobbly wheels, they are all slightly angled so they look a bit wonky if you do not align it properly
- DIY water decals for the dark horse side / rear emblems and no front horse emblem included with grill (maybe I missed it - I just had three dark hourse emblems + 4 very tiny center cap decals)
- European style rear plate which is odd with the left-hand steering and American nature of the Mustang
Overall, it's a nice car but the DIY emblems and the wobbly wheel mounting make it hard to recommend. In general I would be careful of DCM models.
I really like DCM castings with detailed engine and hood opening but can't stand that buyers have to install the provided decals by themselves, which is the most painful task ever. The decals are so micro that no average person can put them on by themselves.
